WHAT DO OUR LESSONS LOOK LIKE?

Lessons begin with an introduction to outline the objectives. Then, the main concepts are presented, using examples and explanations. After that, students engage in guided practice, applying the knowledge and skills previously learnt. This is followed by independent practice, allowing them to work on tasks on their own or in groups. Homework is given each week.

1. Lesson objectives

Lesson objectives clearly outline what students are expected to learn or achieve by the end of the lesson, providing a focused goal for both teaching and assessment.

3. Main content

The main content of the lesson is where key concepts, skills, or information are taught, providing the foundation for students to understand and apply what they are learning.

5. Independent learning

Independent learning allows students to apply what they've learned on their own, promoting self-reliance and deeper understanding while the teacher provides minimal guidance.

2. Starter exercise

Starter exercises quickly engage students, revise prior knowledge, and prepare them for the lesson's content.

4. Guided learning

Guided learning involves the teacher supporting students as they practice new concepts, offering feedback and assistance to help them build confidence and understanding.

6. Homework

Homework reinforces the lesson's content by giving students the opportunity to practice and apply what they've learned independently, extending their learning outside the lesson.
